Dr. Kuzniecky is currently the chair of the MRI Core and co-Lead PI for the Epilepsy Phenome/Genome Project, which is enrolling patients with idiopathic generalized epilepsy, localization-related epilepsy, infantile spasms, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, polymicrogyria, and bilateral periventricular nodular heterotopia.
EPGP is the largest genotyping study of its kind in history undertaken to understand the genetics of common forms of epilepsy and the reason for failure/success with drug treatment.
